In the second game of Saturday night, we will see the Kansas Jayhawks taking on the Oregon Ducks. Both of these games are going to be great games as a college basketball fan.

Then we have some excellent matchups on Sunday in the NCAA tournament Elite 8 as well. We saw some excellent offensive performances by Kentucky and North Carolina, who both won their games and on the other side of the ball, we witnessed some really great defense in from Florida and South Carolina.

We are giving you Elite 8 total betting picks on all four games in this round of the tournament so let’s get right to the games!!!

Kansas Jayhawks vs. Oregon Ducks

The Oregon Ducks have played 6 out of the last 8 games over the posted total and mainly in fact due to their offense, that is averaging 79.4 points per game, which is good for the #42 offense in the NCAA. They have a talented set of starters that love to get up and down the court.

The Ducks offense is good, but as good as they are, the Jayhawks are that much better. Their offense is averaging 83.4 points per game, which puts them as the 15th ranked offense in the NCAA. This team is really its offensive dominance on the court in the NCAA Tournament scoring 100, 90 and 98 points.

No team has even came close to winning or even getting it within 20 points. They play their level of pace and force teams up and down the court. The Jayhawks are led by Player of the Year candidate Frank Mason, who coming into the tournament was averaging 20 points per game but in the tournament and scored 26 in the game against Purdue. This game has the potential to be a very high scoring affair. PLAY THE OVER!

Xavier Musketeers vs. Gonzaga Bulldogs

They hype train for the Xavier Musketeers is rolling as they have knocked off 3 higher seeded teams back to back to back. The Musketeers are winning games on defense. They held the Maryland Terps to 65 points, held the Florida State Seminoles to 66 points and the high powered Arizona Wildcats to 71 points. This team is the cinderella story of this year’s Big Dance and they just seem to find ways to win.

Gonzaga has seemingly had a much tougher road but respectfully, they have also played a tough schedule in N Dakota State, Northwestern and West Virginia. The Bulldogs have the 5th best defense in the NCAA.

These two have matched up in 3 prior contests with the game playing under 2 out of the 3 times. In Xavier’s and Gonzaga’s last 10 games each, they have played under the posted total in 6 games each. Going deeper, the Bulldogs have played under the posted total in 6 of their last 8 games on neutral sites, including the NCAA tournament. This game will be decided by what defense can play the best on Saturday afternoon! PLAY THE UNDER!

Florida Gators vs. South Carolina Gamecocks

The first game we are looking at is the Florida Gators vs. South Carolina Gamecocks. The Gamecocks moved on in the tournament by playing stingy defense against the Baylor Bears. The Gamecocks held the Bears scoreless at one point as they went on a 18-0 run. In the end, they only allowed the Bears to 50 points, winning by the score of 70-50. The Gamecocks have played 3 out of their last 4 games, against the SEC, under the posted total. They also have played 6 out of their last 8 games, on neutral sites, under the posted total.

They now move on to take on another tough defensive minded team who they are familiar with in the Florida Gators. The Gators won in an emotional game in overtime, beating Wisconsin to advance. Florida held 5 out of their last 7 opponents to play under the posted total. The Gators have played their last 5 out of 6 games, on neutral sites, under the total. The Gators have also played 4 out of their last 5 games, in the NCAA tournament, under the total. In the last 7 out of 10 games that the Gators took on their SEC divisional foes, the game played under the posted total! Play The Under!

Kentucky Wildcats vs. North Carolina Tar Heels

The late game on Sunday will be the Kentucky Wildcats taking on the 1 seed North Carolina Tar Heels. It’s doesn’t get anymore “March Madness-like” than these two basketball powerhouses playing each other in the Elite 8!

Kentucky is known for their 9th ranked offense but lately, they have been striking up the defense! They have held their last 3 opponents to 75, 62 and 70 points respectfully. The past 3 games overall, have all played under the total. In their last 5 non-conference games, they have played under the posted total in all 5 games! In their last 4 games that were played on neutral sites, they played each game under the posted total. Finally, the last 5 games in the NCAA tournament that the Wildcats were a part of, each game went under the posted total.

As far as the Tar Heels are concerned, they also have a tendency to play under the total in these type of games. In games that the Tar Heels follow up a straight up overall win, they played 9 out of 12 under the posted total. When they follow up a ATS win, they have played 6 out of 7 games under the posted total. Play The Under!
