NBA Western Conference Finals Game 4: Golden State Warriors vs. San Antonio Spurs – May 22, 2017

Golden State Warriors vs. San Antonio Spurs

The Golden State Warriors will look to eliminate the San Antonio Spurs on Monday. Out of the National Basketball Association, the Warriors lead the Western Conference Finals 3-0. The Warriors have yet to lose in the postseason with series wins over Portland and Utah.

The San Antonio Spurs have eliminated the Memphis Grizzlies and the Houston Rockets thus far. The Spurs finished second in the regular season out of the Western Conference with 61 wins. The Golden State Warriors are large favorites in this game. The Warriors are listed at -11 over the Spurs.

Warriors Blowing Teams Out

The Golden State Warriors are not even being challenged in the postseason. Golden State led the regular season in points per game, and are competing with Cleveland for the most in the postseason. The Warriors have scored 113 points or more in all four of their last games. The Warriors have yet to score less than 102 in a game this postseason.

The Warriors have four guys that are scoring in double figures this postseason. Golden State has Steph Curry scoring 27.9 points per game, and Kevin Durant adding 24.8 per game. Klay Thompson and Draymond Green are the other two leading the charge.

Spurs Banged Up

The San Antonio Spurs are banged up beyond repair right now. Head Coach Gregg Popovich is trying to find answers but has none that are effective. The Spurs head coach made history during this postseason. After eliminating the Utah Jazz in the second round, he eliminated all Western Conference teams in the postseason.

The one saving grace for the San Antonio Spurs in this game is playing at home. The Spurs have won 5 out of 7 at home this postseason and went 31-10 during the regular season. San Antonio, despite likely losing this series has been one of the best teams in the league for several seasons. The Spurs have won 60+ games in three out of the past four seasons.

Warriors Win

The San Antonio Spurs put forth a great effort. That’s one thing they have done for many seasons. But, the problem is – they do not have enough talent to beat the Warriors. Even with Kawhi Leonard, the Spurs still would not have enough to beat Golden State. Now, with him out, they are dead ducks.

The Golden State Warriors win this game and win their 12th straight postseason game. Golden State is going to head back to the NBA Finals for the third straight season. The Warriors will likely get another chance against Cleveland. Golden State -11 is the bet in this game on Monday night.
